Back in Buda

After 11 weeks,  we are finally all back together at home in Budapest. I had a monumental decision to make on the way home. We had 2 seats in business class and 3 seats in coach. Logan could go anywhere as a lap child, so Larry offered me business class with Logan and Cade or coach with just Chelsea and an extra seat.

Despite this picture, I chose coach and I think I had the more relaxing flight. ;)

We absolutely enjoyed our time in Houston, but over the weeks I realized that nothing compares to being all together under the same roof. We are all happy to be home. Now comes the fun part of moving bedrooms (Logan will move into Cade's room and Cade will move into our playroom) and getting reorganized to make a space for the newest member of our family!

There is still blogging to catch up on from Houston - in just the past 3 days, we had packers come to pack a monumental amount of baby stuff and we celebrated Chelsea's 6th birthday and Mother's Day. I will catch up soon!

Rewind

I guess Texas doesn't inspire me to blog the same way Budapest does, but we have made some fun memories during our Texas hiatus that I need to document. So we will rewind a bit to the week after Easter. Larry was in town for a week, so we went on a little family getaway to San Antonio. It was our first time to spend as only the 5 of us, so we enjoyed some laid back time at the resort and one day at Sea World. It wasn't hot and it wasn't crowded - perfect!
This guy just hung out.
Chelsea enjoyed the lazy river and swimming.
Cade did not enjoy the lazy river, especially after I dropped him in. Oops.
 He liked the sand.
We all enjoyed s'mores each night.

The Sea World playground was a hit.

Yea Shampoo!
We didn't correct him. :)

Together for Easter

Better late than never...

We were blessed to all be together for Easter Sunday. We began our day making Resurrection Rolls and talking about Jesus' death and resurrection.  Crescent rolls = tomb. Marshmallow = Jesus. Bake it and the marshmallow disappears = empty tomb. Yay!
                                                          Some of us worked....
Others just ate marshmallows.

We managed to get everyone dressed and have time for a quick picture before church. Love it!
Logan looks a little concerned about this arrangement.
After church, we dyed eggs and hunted....the confetti eggs were the favorite.

                                                                   Happy Easter!!

Now You See It, Now You Don't

Getting Logan's passport has been a major pain. Because he is adopted, it is a little complicated. We submitted everything within a week of his birth and we got rejected quickly. We have been trying to get in touch with the person that has the documents we mailed and that can actually tell us what we need to do to get a passport.  I finally spoke with her last week and she was helpful. She consulted with her supervisor and agreed to issue a limited passport, which gives us a year to get his official documents and get a regular passport at that point. We were so thankful and got the passport a couple of days later. Success!!

Today, I thought Larry was joking when he told me the State Department called and wants the passport back. What???? He wasn't joking. I have no idea what happened, but suddenly someone decided they didn't like the documents we submitted and said they were revoking the passport. Umm, shouldn't they have been sure about this before they mailed it last week? So frustrating.

So, we are back to square one. We are thankful we still have several weeks before we travel and we are praying that we get it resolved quickly!!

Just the Boys

Two weeks ago, Larry and Chelsea went back to Budapest. We have missed them so much and can't wait for them to be back in Houston tomorrow! They enjoyed their time together and Chelsea enjoyed going back to school for 2 weeks. Meanwhile, I had boy time in Houston.

Cade has missed his sister, but he has taken more interest in Logan since Chelsea has been gone. If Logan cries, Cade is quick to proclaim that he needs his paci and runs to find it and give it to him. At bedtime, he says, "Night night, little brodder. Sleep good." So sweet.

"One day, you'll be big and I will teach you how to use a pen to decorate your face."

Cade has also began requesting to be the baby...he likes to be wrapped up and laid on the playmat.

We have tried to have some mental stimulation as well....I got this off of Pinterest and he loves it!

Love my boys, but can't wait to see my girl and my man tomorrow!!
