London and Legoland

After visiting the circus, we went home, grabbed our bags, and headed for the airport to spend part of  Fall Break in London.

I love the European school schedule. We don't have a lot of single days off, but rather whole weeks at a time - perfect for our love of travelling! We had a late flight, which ended up being delayed, so we didn't arrive in London until almost midnight. Thankfully, we were staying at a hotel near the airport that night. We were a sight as we trekked through Heathrow to find the bus terminal, then waited in the rain for the right bus, then lugged all of our bags onto the bus, then finally made it to our hotel. As we were going through this whole bus process, we made an immediate observation that a.) it was nice to be in an English speaking country, and b.) people were so nice and friendly and helpful. Ahhhh...

The next morning, we headed out to Legoland Windsor  This was one of our most fun days. The kids were so happy and the rides were perfect for their ages. It was a little cold, but not too bad.
Not too many rides for this guy, but he was (mostly) a happy camper.

The spinning crew

Cade was so excited to drive his own car!

I would recommend Legoland Windsor if you have young kids and if you find a coupon online. I don't think I would pay full price, but with a discount it is good for a days worth of fun!

  2. Love seeing all your posts of your travels. Just have to ask about the comment of people being friendly and helpful in England. Does that mean they're not so friendly and helpful in Budapest??? Uh, oh. Looking forward to meeting you and your precious family in January. S.

  3. Thanks, Susan! There are certainly exceptions, but the general population in Budapest is stone-faced.
